the basics Name • Chimney Nickname • Age • 17 Moons Gender • Cis female Sexuality • bisexual, tends to show more interest in girls. Rank • Town cat the looks Short Description • Short furred grey-brown and red mackeral tabby calico with green eyes Body Type• Semi-foreign Overall Looks • Chimney is a pretty young she-cat with dainty paws and delicate features. Her short, fluffy fur is tri-colored, predominantly a sooty gray with smaller patches of ginger. She has a good deal of white on her legs, chest, and belly, with some creeping up her sides and seperating her colorful fur into large patches. Though she looks almost breakable, Chimney is wirey and has plenty of lean muscle; she might not be the strongest, but she's quick and agile, and can wiggle her way into places most cats can't reach. The only scar she has is a small divot in her right ear, which has been there as long as she can remember. Chimney's eyes are very expressive, and always betray her true feelings. Because of this she is a terrible liar. The Personality Likes (four plus) - Climbing (Parkour!) - Sunbathing - Stealing from humans - Exploring Dislikes (four plus) - Being underestimated - Lying - Crowds - Kittens (Specifically having her own) Strengths (two plus) - Speed/Agility - Easy to talk to Weaknesses (two plus) - Strength - Deception Dreams (one plus) - To get on a ship and explore far away lands Fears (one plus) - Open water Overall Personality • Chimney is a spunky cat with more energy than her small body can handle. She is a creature of extremes; happiness is euphorie, anger is pure rage. She doesn't hold back, either; if you're being a jerk, she'll give you an earful, and maybe a bop on the nose to get the point accross. She doesn't like crowds, of people or cats, but if you're on your own she'll be friendly enough, especially is she's never seen you before. Prepare to be interrogated; her curiosity is never satiated, and she loves hearing stories from the clans or far off lands. Though she wants to someday climb aboard a ship and discover these places for herself, she's terrified of the open water, and this fear is holding her back. Her worst nightmare is getting into a shipwreck; she's not sure if she can swim at all, let alone in a storm. She wants to overcome her fear, but getting into the water herself is panic inducing, and she's too proud to admit she needs help. The History Mother • Chair - 97 Moons, town cat Father • Kettle, 105 Moons, town cat Siblings • Door - Brother - 62 moons, town cat Porch - Brother - 62 moons, town cat Alley - Sister - 46 moons, town cat Fork - Sister - 46 moons, town cat (Twin of Spoon) Spoon - Sister - 46 moons, town cat (Twin of Fork) Coffin - Brother - 46 moons, town cat Other Important People • Eddy - Alley's mate - 50 moons, town cat Overall History • Pre-Birth Chair and Kettle settled down together at a fairly young age, making their home in the cellar of a twoleg nest. The food storage attracted plenty of mice and rats, so they rarely went hungry, and soon Chair had her first litter; two toms, who they named Door and Porch. Chair was fond of using human words as names, as her own mother had. Door and Porch grew up quickly; when he was just twenty moons old, Porch hopped on a fishing vessel and took to life as a ship cat. Though his family have seen the boat return, Porch never has. Door lives with a small gang of cats on the dock, always hoping his brother will return for a visit. They don't see him often. Two moons after Porch's departure, Chair had her second litter, this time three she-cats and a tom. The first molly she named Alley, and the other two, identical twins, were named Fork and Spoon. Kettle dubbed their son Coffin. Alley has always stayed close to home, making her nest in the same cellar as her parents, along with her mate, Eddy, and raising her kits there. Chair is always delighted to hear little paws scampering around, and is definitely closest with her oldest daughter. Fork and Spoon, on the other paw, took off earlier than most. At eleven moons they left their family home and didn't look back. They settled in the attic of a shop accross town, and in recent moons have come to visit with a train of kits. No one is sure whose is whose at this point, and the sisters have never mentioned their father. There's so many of them that Chimney can't even remember their names. Or tell them apart. Coffin turned out as bleak as his namesake, and took up residence in the local mortuary. He shows no interest in a mate or kits, despite Chair's 'encouragement', and instead recites poetry and relays the town gossip. Usually concerning who's died. 0-6 Moons Finally, Chair had her third and, despite her best efforts, final, litter. A single she-cat whom she named Chimney. Chimney grew up in the cellar, now crowded by her eldest sister's family, and was subject to plenty of unwanted doting by her mother. Chair and Kettle were insistent on teaching her manners and getting her to act lady-like. She was so delicate and pretty, she ought to have a personality to match! Chimney did not agree. She was energetic and fiesty, getting into trouble with her nieces and nephews, and after she went to the docks a few times to meet her brother Door, she developed a potty mouth. Her family quickly became stifling, and at five moons she ran away from home to live on the docks with her brother. Door wasn't exactly understanding, but he let her stay, and taught her to fend for herself. 6-10 Moons Eventually, the crowded docks began to wear on her as well, and Chimney struck out on her own. She finally found her home on the edges of town in a slightly crumbly cottage. One of the stones of the wall was loose and had rolled away slightly, leaving a fairly well-hidden hollow where Chimney built her nest. 10-17 Moons Chimney became something of a loner; she was friendly, but made no close friends, and she was alright with that. She would sometimes visit Coffin and Door, and even more rarely, her mother and father. Chair always laments her leaving home so early, and not so subtly hints that she should move back in and have a family, like Alley did, but Chimney has no interest, in kits or in living in such a crowded place, with her parents constantly hovering.
